Satellite based urban areas automatic classification

The project aims at implementing a semi-automated unsupervised classification method of satellite data to identify urban areas for a more precise estimate of people affected by an emergency and to carry out urban risk/vulnerability assessment analysis.

GMES RDA project update

Having been awarded the contract by the EC in consortium with SiTI in 2009, Ithaca is implementing an initial GMES (Global Monitoring for Environment and Security) service for geospatial reference data access covering areas outside Europe.
