Training and capacity building for Afghanistan GeoNode platform hosting a multi-hazard risk assessment

In order to cope with the limited disaster risk information produced in Afghanistan, and its lack of standard methodology and uniform geo-spatial coverage, the World Bank has initiated a multi-peril risk assessment covering the entire country. The risk assessment and all the data are made available through a GeoNode platform.

In this framework, ITHACA has been contracted for the provision of GeoNode training to government representatives in key government and non-governmental agencies in Afghanistan, through introductory training events, in-depth training; and training events for GeoNode developers and expert users in Kabul in the timeframe November 2016 to October 2017.
